NDIS – With Culture We Are Able!
Your Culture Your Plan Your Way
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) means our people get a say in what support and services they would like to help them achieve their goals.
Kura Yerlo Inc provides a service by mob for mob. Including Kura Yerlo programs on an NDIS plan is a way for our people living with disability to engage with community, culture, and art through group social support and/or 1:1 support.
People needing low to medium support can join us for:
- Back 2 Ochre – Aboriginal Women’s Art Workshops
- Men’s Shed – Artefact Making
- Women’s Wellbeing Groups
- Day trips to Nunga Community Events
- Cooking classes
- Community Gym
- Traditional Emu Feather Headdress Making (by request)
People needing a higher level of support are welcome to join the friendly faces at Karrarendi each Friday.
Phone or email us for a yarn about how you can use your NDIS Plan to keep your culture strong.
