Kura Yerlo is Kaurna Aboriginal language meaning ‘by the sea’. As our name suggests, we are ideally located on Lady Gowrie Drive, Largs Bay.
Kura Yerlo Incorporated is a leading not for profit Aboriginal owned and controlled community organisation. We are driven by our vision of ‘walking together for a strong culture and a sustainable future’.
We pride ourselves on reaching out to the wider community and in doing so, supporting and demonstrating messages of reconciliation.
The Aboriginal flag colours form the circular border of the logo design, emphasising that Kura Yerlo is an Aboriginal organisation.
The two dolphins represent our location by the sea.
The central point of the logo is the Kaurna shied.
Black and white hands (murras) show how we represent all ages.
Our logo was designed by Lisa Warner.
