We are a Home and Community Care( HACC) funded centre based day care program.

Assessment :
As a Centre Based Day Care HACC program, Kura Yerlo provides an informal assessment to consumers. If a formal assessment summary has been forwarded by another agency we then work in collaboration with that agency to monitor progress of the consumer.
HACC criteria is:
Frail aged or younger disabled
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people over the age of 45 or younger people with a disability.
Reside within the Western Region of Adelaide for Aged and Metropolitan for Disability

Western Region Elders Forum

Provides social and recreational activities for Aboriginal Elders throughout the Western region.
Programs include art and craft, camps, day trips and luncheons.
Transport provided.
Kura Yerlo Western Region Elders Forum are members of the Council of Aboriginal Elders of South Australia.
Come on and join the Elders Council.
We meet fortnightly to have a chat, share a meal and have a coffee or two

Karrarendi

Meaning "To rise above and be proud"

Karrarendi is a culturally focused program for Aboriginal people with a disability.
The program provides support and opportunities for broadening like skills through a process of self determination.
It comprises an adult’s program of activities including art and craft and performing arts.
Come and join us for fun and laughter, art, craft, song and dance.
Visual and performing with "No Strings Attached".

Zebra Finch

Aboriginal Men’s social gathering with a focus on Cultural art and craft, Artifact making, training and mentorship, Intergenerational and Learning projects with young people and the community. (schools, community groups)

On an individual basis it is strengthening Cultural identity, assists to work towards SACE
accreditation for young people, gain greater confidence and self esteem , team building and public speaking
